Collage

To try to get some creativity flowing in the first few weeks and some inspiration, I decided to do a few collages.

The outcome is quite something...

I decided to then take from these rather strange combinations of chairs and legs and try to draw something out of them.

I came up with these very futuristic looking robot type characters. I then decided to take them even further and took to photoshop and illustrator. 

For the previous collage, I took the colours from one of Andy Warhols pieces, just to play around and see what came out of it! 

I had a lot of fun doing this mini project/experimental type thing. I love getting messy and creating (mess) art!! So this was right up my street. I'm also quite new to illustrator, so still getting used to the basic tools and such but so far im really enjoying using it and can't wait to explore more about the software and hopefully create much more art!! 

Creating collages and developing the outcomes further is defiantly something I want to continue doing throughout my art career, I also found it almost therapeutic which is great considering the amount of times I find my self consumed with work and stress!

Reflection

After using Illustrator for the first time and it being a success, it has given me great encouragement to progress further in this project. This success, even though such a small and simple image created has really boosted my confidence with creating deigns and vectors. Therefor I am excited and motivated to continue through this project and hopefully create some of my best work! And most importantly enjoy the process of the work and overall project.
